See, threads like the "Jet pack for one" are great, because it keeps the chatter limited there.
It really is rather annoying. I can ignore overly gaudy posts, but it can get irritating when you go to a part that is set aside for talking about something you are interested in, and people who have no interest in it take over the thread.
Amen. That's the reason the thread has a topic, it's because you're supposed to talk about the topic.

To post a picture:
There are two buttons along the bar at the top when you go to post. One says "host and image" the other simply says "image."
To host an image means to upload one saved on your computer. Click browse and find on your computer where it is saved. Then click "Host it!"
The image button is for posting pictures that are somewhere else online. When you have an image you want, right click on it, click "Properties," copy the image url and paste it in the box that comes up when you click on the image button. Then click "OK."
