Well usually, when people make a topic, it's because they want to discuss that topic. If you want to talk about nothing at all, make a thread for nothing at all. I don't really appreciate it being put in my thread, or in a thread that I was interested in. I post because I wanted to talk about what was being talked about.

See, threads like the "Jet pack for one" are great, because it keeps the chatter limited there.

It really is rather annoying. I can ignore overly gaudy posts, but it can get irritating when you go to a part that is set aside for talking about something you are interested in, and people who have no interest in it take over the thread.
