We Have A New Theme

So, I changed the theme of the forum, What do you guys think?

I like the green, and I like the little online ribbon at the edge of posts (or was that already there?).

I love it, except it's kinda hard to read the words you write while you're writing..

Well, some of them are locked because they were just being used for off-topicness.

Well whoever didnt like the off topicness just could have not looked at it! The off topic ones werent the only things to read. It was fun!

So, since this thread is now completely off-topic, let me explain myself. I did lock/delete a couple threads for having covered their purpose and were simply random and not worth it. You have an entire forum for randomness, and one thread in that forum devoted to COMPLETE randomness. I have no problems with randomness, but can you keep it out of the threads that are set up for an express purpose such as theological questions or other things.

Yup, I decided I needed someone else who knew how forums ran to help me run this one.

Hey Jessica, how 'bout not using that dark green font? I had to highlight it to read it.

My bad. They just don't have this color green in the color list. Could you put that in there instead of the other green? Again, Sorry.

I'm not really hinting at anything. I could go into this big spiel about the function of moderators in the various other forums I've been in, as far as the moving and merging and all such technicalities, but that would be a waste of both my time and yours. I could explain it to you if you wanted me to, though. I certainly wasn’t saying you’re a bad behaved bunch, cause you certainly aren’t, but I will add that those completely new to forums sometimes tend to post spam-ish, rambling, or pointless posts going on about a lot of nothing.

Though you yourself, Christina, used to be one of these at the very beginning, you aren’t any more. I see the people who were on the forum first getting the hand of things, and the people who are just joining starting the cycle all over again. Usually on forums, threads don’t get locked very much unless the topic is inappropriate to discuss in that time and place, or people are talking about a completely different subject all together, but then, usually the conversations just die when they are over. Perry, I believe, is trying to get people acclimated to the idea that you don’t just post for the sake of posting and random conversation. Although, thinking about it, many of the locked threads could fall under the category of “a completely different subject all together.” But usually those are for the *really* off topic.

And that is the real reason that she is a mod, she can explain both her actions and mine better than I can.

I'm definitely used to forums. They're the best thing since Cuddles! I was probably just not used to having a forum in which I play a main'ish' role. I haven't done that since I was what, eight or nine? But I'm definitely over that now.
